WHY THE CATTLEMEN’S ASSOCIATION EXISTS:

The purpose of this association is to foster and promote high standards and sound practices for the general interest and welfare of the cattle raising industry and the corporation’s members, in Monterey County, California.

 

WHAT THE ASSOCIATION DOES:

In furtherance of this purpose, the Association may levy assessments, influence legislation, prevent the theft of cattle and aid in the prosecution therefor, offer rewards for the apprehension of criminals, collect, compile and disseminate information of benefit to the cattle industry, and to do all such other lawful acts and things as may be deemed proper, necessary or convenient to improve and promote the breeding, management and marketing of cattle.

 

VISION/MISSION STATEMENT:

The Monterey County Cattlemen’s Association proactively promotes and educates its membership and the entire community regarding sustainable practices that preserve and protect the heritage and traditions of the beef industry in Monterey County.
